The 24th WMSM and Moorgate Andrology
Held in Dubai from the 15th – 17th of December 2023, Moorgate Andrology is proud to announce two of our very own doctors are attending and will be delivering their own keynote address.
Dr Greta Peciulte and Dr Nenad Djakovic have written a paper on the treatment and management of Peyronie’s Disease, specifically based on their experiences correcting the curvature that is a common symptom of the condition.
Although it is hard to get a true representation of the numbers thanks to the nature of the disease, it is believed that around 1 in 20 UK men suffer from the symptoms of Peyronie’s disease, which can include:
- Hard lumps on one or more sides of the penis, which can lead to the curvature and shortening
- Painful erections
- Very difficult or impossible sexual relations
- Erectile dysfunction
The paper, entitled:
‘The comparison of a slightly modified geometrical principles based Peyronie’s plaques incision and grafting technique, and the non-geometrical surgical techniques: A long term single centre experience’
explores the differences in Peyronie’s disease surgery and the benefits this alternative approach brings to patients living with such a complex, painful, and upsetting disease.
